  • American Kennel Club (AKC) Find out all about AKC dog breeds, their characteristics, history health and more! This can be a great tool for pet owners when deciding on their next pet.
  • American Association of Feline Practitioners   The site is dedicated to cat health in the veterinary field. 
  • American Veterinary Medical Association  This site has a variety of topics and resources for pet owners.
  • Association of Pet Loss and Bereavement  We have all experienced the pain of losing a pet and this site helps during this most difficult time.
  • Behavior Problems   Founded by Brian Kilcommons and Sharon Wilson, best-selling authors and recognized experts on animal training and behavior, this site is a terrific resource for advice on a variety of behavioral problems.
  • CareCredit  This third party billing company has made it possible for many families to be able to help and continue treatment for their beloved pets. 
  • CDC 'The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention' is the national public health agency of the United States. A 'well if knowledge' providing the public access with great information for health promotion, disease prevention and preparedness for new health threats
  • Choosing a new puppy   This is a nice starter guide of things that you should consider when you are thinking about getting a puppy.
  • Heartworm Society  Everything you need to know about heartworm disease can be found here.
  • National Animal Poison Control Center  This site includes a library, links to other sites, and phone numbers for the Poison Control Center.
  • The Cat Fanciers' Association (CFA)   This website is rich with information on cat breeds, cat care, upcoming cat shows, and much more.
  • USDA  This website has information on a variety of animal health related topics, including the latest news on such things as zoonotic diseases and new disease threats.
  • USDA Animal and Plant Inspection Service   Is your pet traveling with you out of state or  out of the country? Let APHIS keep you prepared from delaying your travels! Owners can find a wealth of information on what's required for each state, country, etc. before their pet enters a different jurisdiction--It's important to know locations can vary what they require from traveling pets!
